8 Foods to Avoid Post-Exercise

After exercising normally you will feel very hungry, so eating without realizing it would be excessive.

In addition, you may also sometimes eat foods that are not good to eat after exercising.

Experts say, for the perfect post-workout meal, the food you need to combine complex carbohydrates, water and some protein. Your body tends to use glucose to fuel your exercise, so that when you finish exercising, you need to eat foods that increase your blood sugar levels gradually.

Here are the foods you should not eat after exercise:

Cheese
Foods high in fat and processed cheese instead of foods that you can consume after exercise. The reason is that cheese has a large amount of saturated fat, and salt as well.

Processed meat
Processed meats are high in fat and salt, will slow your digestion. Bacon, salami, sausages have a high enough fat. Eat a sandwich with boiled chicken instead.

Cereals
Although healthy, some varieties of cereals contain sugar. What should be your cup consumption is low sugar granola with fruit and nuts, and no added sugar.

Bread
The starch in bread turns quickly into sugar, and it's not something that your body needs after exercise.
Instant fruit juice
Fruit drinks are very high in sugar, will increase blood levels in your body. If you want something other than water, herbal tea, or drink a glass of coconut water. It's healthy and natural.

Egg
Eggs are considered a good snack postworkout because they are packed with protein and choline which is good for the heart. But avoid fried eggs which have a high enough fat.

Milkshake
If the milkshakes are made with fruit, sugar high. Replace it with almond or regular milk, or even green tea.

Raw vegetables

Raw vegetables may contain nutrients, but they do not have the ability to make you energized after a workout. You need something bigger if your muscles need to recover from wear, and your metabolism going. Nutritionists recommend that you add a high protein add-ons for vegetables. Think hummus or yogurt sauce.
